“Bro, it’s only on this Indonesian website because all the American ones are too scared of Chevy getting mad at them to post it themselves! Look at this crudely-done Photoshop job and tell me that’s not 100% what the car will look like!”

So they read Car and Driver’s annual “OMG MID-ENGINE VETTE CONFIRMED” piece?

It’s funny you mention that because when he said it will be mid engined he said “just like Mazda.” I said yeah, front mid-engine which they already are and he still says it’s going behind the driver.

That’s exactly what he pulled up. I told him they’ve been saying it for over two decades. I can’t wait for Chevy to finally make a mid-engine Vette so we can finally see the “WE WERE RIGHT!” article from C&D.

Time for some “wrong name, asshats” counter-trolling. Although techinically that would be “rear” and not “mid”, IIRC.

I hope when Chevy finally does it's a new Chevette econo car like the Twingo(?) that is mid/rear engined.

Even though it’s most likely BS, GM did have that mid-engined development mule out testing a while back. And if you think about it, the Corvette DP could be a testbed for a new MR Corvette platform. But as long as it’s got a small-block V8 and goes like hell, I don’t care where they put the engine.
